レビュー カスタマーレビュー 全長10時間28分。標準米語。  複数のナレーターによる朗読なのでメリハリが利いて聴きとりやすい仕上がりになっています。会話がナチュラルスピードで読まれている点など少し速めの印象を受けますが、標準米語でもあるので英会話ができればそれが障害になることはないと思います。構文は素直で、語彙も難しくはないです。ただ、ＳＦ的な用語は知っておく必要があります。情景描写や戦闘の様子もそれさえ押さえていればイメージを先行させて読むことができるのでこれも好材料だと思います。 天才小学生が人類は救う 世界は宇宙の侵略者バガーズの到来に恐怖している。一度は撃退したが、再び飛来してくる日を予見し、世界じゅうから「天才小学生」が集められ、宇宙戦艦の指揮者として訓練されている。訓練は過酷を極め、小学生同士の喧嘩が昂じて死者が出ることもある。また最終的に選ばれるのは数名に過ぎない。 本書はこの天才集団の中の天才「エンダー」の活躍を描く。エンダーは、優しい少年である。しかしあまりにも才能があるため、他の子供から嫌われ、敬遠される。如何にして子供たちの信頼を得るか。如何にして子供たちのリーダーになるか。また如何にして宿敵バガーズを倒すか。 本書は、著者の代表傑作である。一読をお勧めする。 The Human race at a risk... This book takes place in a time where an alien species are attacking earth... The Buggers. Nobody understands this new threat to the human race and are afraid of it. The millitary counteracts by creating a battleschool in space to create child geniuses who would become commanders of the ships that would protect earth. What most people don't know is that the human race is not going to be invaded, we are invading them. Can Ender, a genius child who is smart above all others save the human race? Or will the buggers take over our home. This exhillerating SciFi is one of the most interesting and gripping books I have ever read. I recommend this book to serious readers in Junior High and for adults who like fictional books. This is a must read book and I also reccomend the sequels, "The Shadow of the Hegemon" and "Ender's Shadow." Great Sci-Fi This is a classic of Science Fiction, but it is the kind of book that will interest even those who do not usually read Sci-Fi. I started reading it and took it everywhere I went. I could not put it down until I read it through to the end. It is full of surprises and the next surprise is never what you thought it would be. Great! 絶対おすすめ！ 私はどっちかというと、SFよりFantasyのほうを愛読している。でもこの本はめっちゃいいといっぱい聞かされて、まあいいか買いました。読んだ時点からも離れません。寝ずに終わりまで一気に読んじゃいました。内容はSF的だけど、主人公Enderのストーリーはごく身近で、親しみやすいものでした。大人たちがEnderに対してやった残酷で不公平なこと、いくら必要だからといえ、今思い出してもやっぱり憎たらしい。 ちなみに、なぜタイトルがEnderのゲームなのか心がけてください。私はEnderと同様にずっとゲームだと思っていた・・・
